KC3 concluded an awesome series on 'Forgiveness ' this morning!! The series has had a great impact on our congregation. We learned the importance of forgiving everyone. From those who have blatantly done us wrong, with no remorse. (Even though forgiveness does not always have to involve reconciliation). Then we followed the example of the Apostle Paul and learned to forgive those who have abandoned us when we needed them the most. (Even in ministry). After that, we learned from Martha and Mary that eventhough we may have a problem with the timing of God, we cannot hold the power of HIS sovereignty against HIM, even when the pendulum of HIS will doesn't swing in our favor. And lastly, The Apostle Peter showed us the importance of forgiving yourself after your greatest fall. It doesn't make sense for us to imprison ourselves with something that God has set us free from. A mere post cannot give this awesome series its just due.
"Those who are comfortable with our oppression are the first to criticize us for daring to speak out." Harry Belafonte. Whatever your position is concerning NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick's personal protest against our country's imbalanced justice system keep a few things in mind. 1. In spite of her faults, The United States of America is still the greatest country in the world. 2. Greatness never absolves any entity from it's responsibility to honor ALL of her constituents, from the least to the greatest. 3. Every voice deserves to be heard and every individual's rights should be honored whether you agree with them or not. 4. The goal of an oppressor is to mute or at the very least discredit the opinion of the oppressed. Whether you agree with #7's stance (pun intended) or not, you cannot argue with the fact that there is validity in his argument. That alone gives it a legitimate right to be expressed as well as heard. Also, we can't argue with the fact that this country is so great, that it allows his views to be openly expressed and put on worldwide display, even if those views make it's claims of greatness somewhat debatable.... The KC3 family is praying for a safe and successful football season for our young men who are playing football this year. Join the KC3 Family this Sunday as we continue our sermon series based on the famous Mary Ann Evans (George Eliot) quote, "It's never too late to be what you might have been." Last week we talked about Peter who rose to preeminence and prominence after his most precarious predicament. This week we will talk about an anonymous brother found in John chapter 5 whose response to the Redeemer lead to his redemption after nearly four decades of rejection. We are located at 19148 East 10 mile rd in Eastpointe 1/4 mile west of I-94. We hope to see you tomorrow.
Join the KC3 family as we celebrate our 4th Anniversary beginning this Sunday, March 13th and culminating on Sunday, March 20th. Our speakers for the 13th will be Evangelist LaTosia R. Logan during our 11am and the great Pastor Elmer R. Hess will be the keynote speaker during our 4pm service. On the 20th, Elder Dan Porter will be the 11am speaker, and Michigan's newest Prelate, Bishop Dwight E. Walls will be our 4pm speaker. Please join us as we celebrate the blessings of our Lord.
The KC3 family celebrates the memory of our beloved leader, the Bishop Alfred M. Smith. Several of the members of KC3 were "raised" spiritually under the tutelage of our spiritual father, Bishop Smith. In fact, the KC3 ministry was birthed from the church that the Bishop founded and pastored, Shiloh Chapel C.O.G.I.C. Bishop was an outstanding teacher and preacher of the gospel and he led us by being a pristine example of humilty, intelligence, love and above all Holiness. We will cherish his legacy forever!.... May God continue to strengthen the entire Smith family, Shiloh Chapel and the Great Lakes 2nd Jurisdiction.
As usual, the women of KC3 had an awesome Women's Day service!! The Rev. Dr. Shannon Holmes delivered a powerful message titled, "No Limits", in which she encouraged God's people to remove their self imposed limitations. She stated that your past nor your pedigree has the power to impede God's performance. Incredible job ladies!!!
Pastor Kuana and Lady Ericka Simmons along with the KC3 church family, cordially invite you to attend our anointed services at our new location. Our church is located at 19148 East 10 Mile road in Eastpointe between Kelly Rd. and I-94 next door to Little Italy's pizza. We look forward to worshipping The Lord with you
We have an incredible testimony concerning the acquisition of our new building. To make a long angst filled story short, we had 3 weeks to exit our previous building through no fault of our own. Instead of yielding to the yoke of anger, we yielded to the Anointing. And of course The Anointing destroyed the yoke, set us free and gave us a big time upgrade. To God be the glory, for the things that HE has done.
KC3 has an absolutely awesome youth department! Led by our dynamic youth Pastor Natalie C. Porter, our young people are doing great things for the kingdom of God. To paraphrase Bishop C.E. Blake, " I see us in the future, and we look better!"
Happy Father's Day from the KC3 church family and the family of Pastor Kuana R. Simmons.
